Double Maker STEMBOX is a monthly subscription package which contains flat pack projects that require careful assembly by using the instruction manuals provided in the box and videos which will be shared with you via email.
Each month brings a new box containing 1-3 fun activitie(s) and a small magazine featuring some curriculum based questions and answers. This is a carefully designed package containing 48 months of continuous supply.
This box is suitable for anywhere between ages 8 to 14 years.
What is the project about?
You can have great fun building, modifying and testing our kits. In our projects, learners can investigate key topics in the science, design & technology, engineering, art and maths curriculum’s. Learners will develop dexterity and problem solving skills whilst assembling their project.
Each month we will be focusing on a new area of learning including fun scientific practicals which bring a focus on the KS3 British curriculum. We will provide you with the necessary parts for the build and support you as much as we can with instruction manuals guiding you all the way. Our STEMbox has been tailored for ages between 8 to 14 years of age. You can start the subscription at any point during these age groups as it will have maximum impact on learning. We will issue a small monthly Magazine which will contain Fantastic Facts, Maths & Science based worksheets with answers along with a DIY Stem project that can be attempted at home.
In most cases, our projects are recyclable! This is particularly great if there are more than 1 siblings wanting to share the box. No need to subscribe to two boxes. Just dismantle the kit and start again.
All materials, components and assembly instructions are included.
What will I receive in the STEMBOX?
During the course of your subscription, we will be working with educational professionals who will be designing STEM based projects that will explore the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Coding with Ardunio boards and building robotics kits. The number of projects per month will vary depending on its complexity. Below you can see examples of the content of each box. On most occasions you will receive 2 STEM projects per month. However, sometimes this may chance. For example, in our month 4 STEMbox you will receive 3 STEM projects whereas in month 7 you will receive 1 project.
In the first 7 months of this subscription you will receive the following projects:
Month 1: Exploring electrical circuits in Physics | 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 1 (all hardware provided).
Month 2: Formula 1 Techcard brand car kit | 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 2 (all hardware provided).
Month 3: Slime making kit (Chemistry) | 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 3 (all hardware provided).
Month 4: Propeller car kit Techcard brand | Maker project Techcard brand| 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 4 (all hardware provided).
Month 5: Acid Alkali pH Test Kit| 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 5 (all hardware provided).
Month 6: Exploring Engineering with mechanical clock | 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 6 (all hardware provided).
Month 7: 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 7 (all hardware provided) BIG BUILD Bluetooth Controlled Car.
Month 8: Exploring Engineering with Hydraulic arm | 10 month coding project using Arduino board part 8 (all hardware provided).
This is an example of the type of projects you will receive through the post. During STEMbox learning programmes such as our 10 month coding project, it is important that you keep the components of the previous month as these will be incorporated into each monthly project.
We understand that at times you may want to pause or even cancel your subscription. When you’re ready, we will be happy to resubscribe you to our STEMBOX again.
This is a carefully designed package containing 48 months of continuous supply. In this instance, we request you inform us of your subscription duration prior to cancellation so that we avoid sending out similar STEM kits to you.
